Driving From LA To Vegas In An Audi E Tron

The rise in electric vehicles such as the 2019 Audi e tron SUV has been an exciting time that changes the way we look at driving. Home chargers and hundreds of stations in major cities make commuting a breeze - never running out of a charge.

Unfortunately, things are not so easy for long distance trips just yet. While there are thousands of chargers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, there are not nearly as many charging stations in the less populated area between them.

This is why it is essential to PLAN AHEAD for these trips so you don't get stuck wondering if you'll actually make it to the next charging station.

Audi Mission Viejo has you covered for the drive from LA to Vegas in your e tron with the best charging locations, fastest directions, different charger types, and more!

What Electric Charging Stations Should You Use From LA To Vegas?
Because the e tron has a 204 mile range and the drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is approximately 269 miles, it is necessary to stop at least once during your trip. We recommend that you make 2 stops however, just to be safe and also to rest or take a bathroom break during the long drive.

1) Charge up first at home or at one of the hundreds of charging stations throughout Los Angeles to reduce charging time on the road.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations On the I-15 Highway
There are quite a few different charging stations on the I-15 for EVs, however many of them are not ideal for a variety of reasons. Some only have 1 station which can lead to inconsistently long wait times, some have only level 1 or 2 chargers which would take hours to completely charge, and others are expensive or not directly open to the public.

While this is a frustrating, there are many larger charging stations that are currently being built that will make the drive from LA to Vegas much more convenient. Chargers are being built in different locations which will make it viable to only charge your e tron 1 time during the drive, and others are being built with faster chargers and more stations.

The future is looking bright for electric vehicles, and Audi Mission Viejo is excited to keep this page updated so you're always in the loop!
